A Week Off?

Wow who gets that? I finally have a week off from cakes and honestly, I'm beside myself in terms of what to do after work. Maybe I'll actually get on the threadmill or clean all the airbrush paint from my cabinets.

UF Graduation Cake

So I have to admit, I'm not entirely happy with the way this cake turned out but the graduates mom seemed pretty happy. So what am I not happy about? Well really it's all the accent details, the graduation cap that I had to do in gumpaste because chocolate would not stand up for a 3-4 hour car ride, the eyelashes on the gator - I should have used fondant strips instead of painting them, the coach wristlet - it needed to be flatter and the print needed to be darker, and lastly I need to get better at cursive or somehow steal my sisters beautiful handwriting.

A very princess birthday party

This is not a concept thought up by me but of the one and only Kerri for her daughter. Thankfully she and I have ESP or something because it came out exactly as she pictured in her head (and on a cute lil drawing she did for me)!

Lil Sleeping Lamb for a baby shower. Everything is completely edible, even the lamb...though I don't know who could each somethign so cute!

I had the pleasure and honor of making this for Jill and Julians vow renewal. This is my rendition of the "Nightmare before Christmas" cake that Collete Peters did (cake god); hers is far too advanced for me.
