I finally got the chance to make a Turkey Cake for the potluck we have annually at work and it was a huge hit. Body was carved from two 9x9x4 square butter cakes, drumsticks and wings are rice crispy treats. Someone actually had to poke the cake to find out if it was real or not...though they stuck their finger in the cake it was a huge compliment!

Hannah Montana Guitar

By far this has been the best and funniest cake I've turned out (expect my sisters babyshower cake)! I've always wanted to do a gutiar and I pulled out all the stops for this one; it was supposed to only be big enough to feed 10 little girls but I had to make it somewhat actual size so naturally it feed about 50 people! Totally worth it though, the cake was apparently polished off in 20 seconds flat and the little kids were even fighting over the strings!!

Princess Castle

This one was certainly a new one for me and I'm not sure I'm going to do the faux rock technique again (#12 dots that are then pressed down and together)...it looks messy to me at certain angles and it was very time consuming. I think I'm going to invest in a brick stencil :)

Bakugan

Well I never heard of Bakugan before this cake and come to find out it's a pretty awesome little game for kids - like Pokemon' but with little sphere's that pop open to reveal little monsters. Very neat if you ask me. I tried my best to replicate the little battle arena (monsters and all) for a 10-year-olds surprise birthday party/Bakugan tournament.
